EIT transitioned a critical DB to the cloud for us. This DB allows us to assist our clients even while working remotely. Without the help of EIT, we would have had a bottleneck in our processes this past year. They transitioned the DB as is, so it looks and behaves the same as it always had. There was no downtime for staff because everything was the same. Wonderful experience. Bernie was responsive and pleasant to do business with. And Oleg is awesome. He can troubleshoot/figure out anything.

Our entire experience with Engineered IT has been a pleasure. They have been prompt, communicative, personable, accommodating, and knowledgeable. They resolved in less than 2 hours a DB issue we had been struggling with for months. We are so impressed with them that we are already looking to work with them in transitioning an existing DB to Azure and creating a new DB.
Update 9/14/2020: We had Engineered IT transition a locally hosted DB to Microsoft Azure so that remote employees can now access the data (securely) from anywhere. Game changer! Another job well done by Oleg and Bernie.

Our organization had worked with EIT for years before I joined the team. They were engaged to help support our existing database structure. I was always impressed with their ability to help us work with a tool that was not designed for our purposes. They always had a vision for a better tool for our needs. We are a small non-profit and raised funds for a new custom database. During the bidding process, it became apparent that EIT had the best vision and the technical ability to build our new database.
They studied our existing architecture and listened carefully to what did and didn’t work for us and got to work. When one aspect of our project turned out to be more complicated than either of us had planned for, we worked together to come up with a more reasonable timeline. Communication with the team is a pleasure. Their response time to requests and questions was immediate and their task application was great for communicating and keeping track of our progress.

We chose EIT because they were local, they were approachable and responsive, they were able to assist right away, and their quote was reasonable. Larger companies that I contacted were physically located far away and made it known that the scope of work that we laid out wasn’t large enough for them to bother with. It’s worth your time to consider a smaller company like EIT. They’re friendly, they take the time to figure out just what you need, they’re responsive, and their quotes are cheaper. I would recommend EIT to anyone.

The best part of working with Engineered IT was that Bernie and Oleg understood and anticipated what I wanted. They provided daily attention until the job was completed and were able to rebuild my website and make improvements in the user interface. I can now update it daily, before I was updating in Microsoft Access and uploading MS Access file to the programmer of the old site. Updating sometimes took 3-6 months. On a scale of one to ten I would give them a 10.

Whenever BMI needs help, no matter if it is a large issue or a small improvement, they are responsive and quick to work on solutions. They have been innovative with new ways to manage data and developed creative solutions when standard solutions did not work for our problems. What I loved most about working with Bernie, Oleg and Nikita was that they knew exactly what we needed and listened to our requests. Yet when there was a solution that made more sense than our requests, they explained very clearly why they were proposing a different solution, and every time their solution made more sense. That ability to build us what we wanted but also work with us to create something even better than what we had imagined is what makes them so valuable to us.
I have a recent example. EIT automated a data upload process that I used to do manually. In previous years I would schedule 8-10 sets of data per day. Last month for the first time I was able to prepare and upload 6 sets simultaneously in approximately 30 minutes. That kind of time savings is invaluable to a small nonprofit.
It doesn’t hurt that Bernie and Oleg are great people to work with. Maybe it’s not the most important part of a project but when you work with someone for months (or years) it makes the work so much easier.
